My dream is to visit Paris when the trees are in bloom.
In the Netherlands, it’s also beautiful at that time of year. Early spring begins with the blossoming of these delicate pale pink tiny flowers—I honestly don’t even know what they are. But when they bloom, everything else is still bare, and only on the thin, dark branches do these soft pink flowers unfold. They are so small that if they bloomed later, no one would even notice them. After all, soon the huge magnolias, crimson and white camellias, and the lush cherry blossoms will start blooming.

But in this chilly time, these almost white specks glow like tiny lights, like luminescent beacons, heralding the arrival of spring.
This painting emerged from the merging of Dutch blooming trees and my dream of springtime in Paris.
