Let me share my impressions with you.

The small sketch was inspired by this sunny day and the beginning of Holland fall.

This beautiful oak I think comes soon in a bigger painting. First you need to feel the soul of this place, hear, smell, and open your eyes. Nature will tell you what your fascination is.

Begin to mix colors.

The main colors in your scene. It can be a combination of two or three colors. The rest of the shades are secondary.

In my sketch the main ones are a mix of yellow, green and brown - that is my first shade, the vivid color of these lightened by the sun green leaves but already touched by autumn.

he second shade is a contrasting dark mixture of green and brown.

My bright greenish oak leaves won't shine without this dark opposite color. So I caught this moment, it took about 20 minutes and now by this impression I can create a painting. See it in my next video!

I hope I encouraged you to go paint outside?
